Basketball Recap: Lynchburg Homeschool Finds Home Court Redemption Against Faith Christian

There's no place like home for Lynchburg HomeSchool, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They walked away with a 48-40 victory over the Faith Christian Warriors on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Despite the defeat, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Savannah Green dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. The match was Green's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ava Glaze, who posted four points and six assists.

Lynchburg HomeSchool's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Faith Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Lynchburg HomeSchool will venture away from home to take on Virginia Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Virginia Episcopal School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season. As for Faith Christian, they will challenge Roanoke Valley Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
