Baseball Recap: Winston Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Winston Academy won the last time they faced Oak Hill Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Winston Academy Patriots walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Oak Hill Academy Raiders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Reed Yates was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Holder Tidwell was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Ben Caperton was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
