Basketball Recap: Percy Julian's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Percy Julian entered their tilt with Stanhope Elmore on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs 64-47. The Phoenix have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Despite the loss, Stanhope Elmore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaleb Sanders went 7 of 13 on his way to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrance Collins, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.

Percy Julian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Stanhope Elmore, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Percy Julian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-43 defeat against Enterprise on the 17th. As for Stanhope Elmore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-54 loss against Wetumpka on the 17th.
