Basketball Recap: Belvidere North Comes Up Short

Belvidere North lost against Manley back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Belvidere North Blue Thunder fell 67-57 to the Manley Wildcats.

Belvidere North has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Manley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Belvidere North and Manley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Belvidere North (ranked 393rd) will meet Kaneland (ranked 84th) at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Meanwhile, Manley will square off against East Moline United at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday down 199 places (334 vs. 135).
