Baseball Recap: Hayes Takes a Loss

If Hayes was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Westerville North last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pacers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Tuesday. The Pacers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 15-0.

Hayes dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Westerville North, their record now sits at 4-2.

Looking ahead, Hayes will be playing at home against Worthington Kilbourne at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Pacers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Westerville North, they will head out to take on Westerville South at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
