Basketball Recap: St. Martin Yellow Jackets vs. Biloxi Indians
After flying high against Moss Point last Saturday, St. Martin came back down to earth. The St. Martin Yellow Jackets were beaten by the Biloxi Indians 63-36 on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

St. Martin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elias Duncan, who posted eight points. That's the most points Duncan has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Lleyton Wilson, who put up six points and five rebounds.
Kentrell Beasley was a one-man wrecking crew for Biloxi as he almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine steals. Beasley has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Alan Ayala was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.
St. Martin's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Biloxi, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.
St. Martin will be playing at home against D'Iberville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Martin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season. As for Biloxi, they will venture away from home to take on Gulfport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
