Baseball Game Preview: Caney Creek Panthers vs. Eagle Pass Eagles

The Caney Creek Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Eagle Pass Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Caney Creek 3.8, Eagle Pass 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Caney Creek's tournament run continued when they took on Benjamin Davis on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 4-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Eagle Pass didn't have quite enough to beat Boerne-Champion on Friday and fell 4-3.

Eagle Pass saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DJ Aranda, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Eagle Pass' loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1. As for Caney Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Caney Creek beat Eagle Pass 3-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
