While Lakeland Preparatory put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Trezevant. The Lions put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 18-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 14 matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Brett Godwin was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Ryan Pitts was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Levi Lindsey, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Lakeland Preparatory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .741. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lakeland Preparatory's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Trezevant, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7-1.
