Softball Recap: North East Takes a Loss

North East lost against Rising Sun last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Indians fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

North East's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Rising Sun, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Coming up, North East will venture away from home to take on Perryville at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.67 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rising Sun, they will welcome Elkton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Golden Elks at the right time seeing as the Golden Elks are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
