Softball Recap: Graham-Kapowsin Triumphs

Graham-Kapowsin won against Bonney Lake two weeks ago with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Eagles beat the Curtis Vikings by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

MaKena Rodgers was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Izzy Vargas also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Graham-Kapowsin's record now sits at 6-3. As for Curtis, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Graham-Kapowsin will venture away from home to take on Emerald Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Curtis, they will welcome Bethel at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Bison at the right time seeing as the Bison are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
