Softball Recap: East Henderson Comes Up Short

East Henderson lost against North Henderson back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. East Henderson came up short against North Henderson, falling 15-8. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured seven losses in a row.

Malea Bailey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Barnwell, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

East Henderson's record now sits at 2-8. As for North Henderson, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Henderson will venture away from home to face off against Polk County at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Henderson, they will head out to square off against Enka at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
