Softball Recap: Kosciusko Has No Trouble Against Houston

Kosciusko won the last time they faced Houston and things went their way on Thursday too. The Kosciusko Whippets put the hurt on the Houston Hilltoppers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Whippets, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Kosciusko and bumps their season record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Houston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Kosciusko will look to defend their home field on Friday against Choctaw Central at 6:30 p.m. As for Houston, they will head out on the road to challenge South Pontotoc at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
