Softball Preview: Walton Raiders vs. Marietta Blue Devils        
        
		
             After both having extra time off, the Walton Raiders and the Marietta Blue Devils will shake off the cobwebs and  challenge  one another  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
 Walton's hitters might be in the hot seat  on Tuesday considering what happened against Lassiter  last Thursday. They came up short against  the Trojans, falling  12-0. Having soared to a lofty 11  runs in the game before, the Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Meanwhile, Marietta was not able to break out of their rough patch  last Thursday as the team picked up their 34th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  10-2 to Woodstock.
 Marietta saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Gabriella Rodriguez, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI. What's more,  Rodriguez also racked up two  hits, the mostshe's  had since back in September of 2023.
 Walton has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record  this season. As for Marietta, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-21.
 Everything went Walton's way against Marietta in their previous matchup  back in August, as Walton made off with  a  14-4 win. Does  Walton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marietta turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
