Righetti kept a clean sheet against Pioneer Valley on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Panthers 1-0. Given Righetti's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Pioneer Valley are ranked 328th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Righetti's one-goal win came courtesy of Armando Mireles, who's now up to four this season.

Righetti's victory bumped their record up to 11-3-2. As for Pioneer Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Righetti will head out to challenge Santa Maria at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Maria will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Righetti surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pioneer Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Paso Robles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer Valley's defense better be ready for this one: Paso Robles have averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season.
