Soccer Recap: Anclote Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Anclote can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the Dunedin Falcons on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 450th, while the Falcons are ranked 158th).

Anclote's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-5. As for Dunedin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Anclote does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dunedin, they will challenge Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunedin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 6.7 goals per game this season.
