Basketball Recap: Jonesport-Beals Gets the Win

Jonesport-Beals hadn't done well against Narraguagus recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Jonesport-Beals Royals narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Narraguagus Knights 50-47. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-48 back in December of 2024.

Jonesport-Beals' win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Narraguagus, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jonesport-Beals will welcome Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Narraguagus, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Machias at 6:30 p.m.
