Softball Recap: Walker Valley Mustangs vs. Buckhorn Bucks
Walker Valley took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Buckhorn, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Walker Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Buckhorn on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 victory the Bucks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2017.
Alyssa Davenport and Amy Benson did most of the damage at the plate: Davenport scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Benson scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Benson has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylie Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
