Baseball Game Preview: Centereach Cougars vs. West Babylon Eagles

For the second straight game, Centereach will face off against West Babylon. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Centereach has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with five straight losses, while West Babylon will come in with three straight wins.

On Monday, Centereach came up short against West Babylon and fell 6-1.

For West Babylon's part, Matt Critchly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Xavier Estevez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Elijah Outlaw was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases.

West Babylon's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Centereach, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
