Lovett came tearing into Saturday's contest with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Coahulla Creek Colts by a score of 2-0. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Colts, too.

While Lovett won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-22.

Lovett's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kate Kennedy led the charge by getting 13 assists and three digs. Kennedy is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Ali Wainwright was another key player, getting 11 assists and five digs.

Lovett's win bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Coahulla Creek, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-13.

Lovett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against St. Vincent's on the 20th. As for Coahulla Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Daniel on the 20th.
