Severance hasn't had much luck against Berthoud recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Severance Silver Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Berthoud Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Severance will head into Thursday's match on the come-up: they were handed a two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Thompson Valley on Thursday. Severance was the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over Thompson Valley. The high-scoring effort was just what the Silver Knights needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Berthoud entered their tilt with Roosevelt on Thursday with 17 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 18. Everything went their way against the Roughriders as they made off with a 12-1 win. Berthoud's victory was all the more impressive since the Roughriders were averaging only 2.58 runs allowed on the season.

Lily Dodd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Camryn Olivas and Madelyn Kuntz did most of the damage at the plate: Olivas went 3-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run, while Kuntz scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.
