Volleyball Recap: Isabelle Wiegel and Kallie Timmerman Secure Win for Shullsburg

After losing to Boscobel the last time they met, Shullsburg decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Miners came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Shullsburg was led to victory by Kallie Timmerman and Isabelle Wiegel. Timmerman had three digs and three aces, while Wiegel had 13 digs and one assist. Timmerman is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Shullsburg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive contests.

Shullsburg's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Boscobel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Shullsburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Monticello on the 27th. As for Boscobel, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Wisconsin Heights on the 27th.
