The Colusa RedHawks will head out on the road to take on the Woodland Christian Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Colusa comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Colusa saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Gridley by a score of 5-4.

Lucas Price put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Woodland Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 14-10 win over Kelseyville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.
The team relied heavily on Jordan Villanuva, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to hits, as he's now got three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Jandro Torres was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-5.
Woodland Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Woodland Christian's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Colusa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Colusa has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. However, it's not like Woodland Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .574. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Colusa was able to grind out a solid win over Woodland Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colusa since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
