Football Recap: Primero Bulldogs vs. La Veta Redhawks
Primero didn't have done well against La Veta recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Primero Bulldogs took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 64-0 win over the La Veta Redhawks. Brett Kendall went supernova for Primero, rushing for 173 yards and six touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 173 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. Primero's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0. As for La Veta, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Cotopaxi the next time they take the field. Primero will host Cotopaxi at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while La Veta will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on September 27th.
