Basketball Recap: Comer Victorious

Comer proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 27) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 38-37 win over the South Shore International Tars. This was payback for the Catamounts, who suffered a 34-28 defeat the last time these two teams met.

South Shore International lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Davaria Davis, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 12 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Zenaida Owusu-Young, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds.

Comer's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Comer will square off against Orr at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Shore International, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ogden International at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
