Basketball Recap: Spurger Takes a Loss

Spurger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Brookeland Wildcats 85-7. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-4.

Spurger's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Brookeland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 30-4 record this season.

Spurger does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookeland, they will face off against Martinsville at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th.
