Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

Lafayette and Grafton squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lafayette had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Clippers. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-10.

Lynley Cannon paced Lafayette's offense, picking up five kills. Cannon got some help from Laurel Bray and her 14 assists.

Leading Grafton to victory were Allyson Burke and Olivia Dela Cruz. Burke had 14 digs and one assist, while Dela Cruz had five digs and four aces. Burke has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 14 times she's played.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Grafton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Lafayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grafton, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Warhill on the 6th.
