Baseball Recap: Marcellus Comes Up Short

Marcellus lost against Mexico back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-4.

Chris Loveless was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Marcellus has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-1 record this season. As for Mexico, they moved to 6-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Marcellus had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
