Basketball Recap: Fayette Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Fayette Academy entered their match against Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Fayette Academy Vikings took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Fayette Academy lost, don't look at Corbin Bowling. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Bowling is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Pike, who put up four points and eight rebounds.

Fayette Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
