Baseball Recap: Fenwick Takes a Loss

If Fenwick was riding high fresh off their 11-3 takedown of Aurora Central Catholic on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Friars came up short against the St. Laurence Vikings on Wednesday, falling 17-2. The loss continues a trend for the Friars in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost seven in a row.

Josh Morgan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Fenwick's defeat dropped their record down to 16-15-1. As for St. Laurence, their victory bumped their record up to 27-5.

Coming up, Fenwick will square off against Loyola Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Laurence, they will challenge Brother Rice at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
