Eldorado came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Santa Fe Demons with a sharp 11-1 win. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Griffin Burak tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Marquez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Cirillio Martinez, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Eldorado was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Eldorado pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eldorado beat Santa Fe by a score of 14-0 later that day.
