Football Recap: Jasiah Patterson Key Part of Team Effort in Flashes Win

Fillmore owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over the San Marcos Royals. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Flashes' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Royals are ranked 699th).

Fillmore got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasiah Patterson out in front who rushed for 136 yards.

Patterson was just one part of a punishing run game: Fillmore was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Fillmore's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for San Marcos, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
