Baldwin County skates past Robertsdale with ease

The Baldwin County Tigers posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Robertsdale 67-31 at home. Given Baldwin County's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Robertsdale is ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Robertsdale lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gabe Stevens. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. That was a full 38.7% of Robertsdale's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Robertsdale struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

Baldwin County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Robertsdale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

Baldwin County will stay at home for another game and welcome Orange Beach at 4:30 p.m. on January 16th. Robertsdale's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hillcrest at 2:00 p.m. on January 17th.
