Mount Airy Christian Academy had won three straight games and Avery Witter did her part to make it four on Friday. Mount Airy Christian Academy came out on top against the Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles by a score of 41-33 thanks in part to Witter, who went 8-for-14 en route to 18 points along with seven boards and five steals. She has become a key player for Mount Airy Christian Academy: the team is 8-3 when she posts at least five steals, but 4-6 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Ava McGlaughlin, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Mount Airy Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Maryland School for the Deaf, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Mount Airy Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Maryland School for the Deaf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hancock at 5:30 p.m. on February 24th.
