Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Southeast

Southeast hadn't done well against Heights recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Southeast Golden Buffalo narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Heights Falcons 47-44. This was a revenge game for the Golden Buffalo: when they faced off against the Falcons back in December of 2024, they had to take a 60-32 loss.

The victory (which was Southeast's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast and North will meet in a classic North v. South matchup at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heights, they will face off against East on Friday. Heights is on a five-game streak of home wins, East a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
