Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Metcalfe). They breezed past the MaxPreps Preppies to the tune of 30-0 on Wednesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Node Kings with their most commanding win of the season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Metcalfe's defense and their eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Brad Smith and Player #23, who racked up seven sacks between them. Metcalfe received some extra help from Tony Jones, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
The win got Metcalfe back to even at 3-3. As for MaxPreps, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
