Volleyball Recap: Madeira Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Madeira lost against National Cathedral back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Snails came up short against National Cathedral, falling 3-0.

While Madeira ultimately came up short, they really made National Cathedral work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 27-25, 25-15.

Leading National Cathedral to victory were Claire Kennedy and Dina Leigh. Kennedy had 16 digs and two aces, while Leigh had seven digs and two aces.

Madeira's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for National Cathedral, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Madeira will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Model Secondary School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for National Cathedral, they will head out to square off against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
