Game recap

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Crenshaw (Los Angeles, Calif.) extended its winning streak to five games with a 34-14 victory over Dorsey (Los Angeles, Calif.) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Ajene Harris touchdown pass to Dominique Hatfield in the first quarter, the Cougars led 21-0 at the half.

Crenshaw saw its 21-point halftime lead fall to 14 entering the fourth.

Reginald Bell played well for the Dons. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.

Harris was the top performer for CHS. The junior quarterback threw two touchdowns.

The Cougars came in allowing an average of 20.0 points per game this season. The defense really stepped up, holding Dorsey right around its season average of 13.3 points scored per game.

The victory will ease some of the sting of CHS's close 7-6 loss to DHS last season.

The defeat comes as a step back for Dorsey, which notched a 55-0 victory over Rancho Dominguez Prep in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Dons' 2-game winning streak.

Dorsey (4-4) will play a Coliseum game against Locke next week, while Crenshaw (7-1) will take on West Adams Prep also in a Coliseum game.
