Preview: Odem Owls vs. Taft Greyhounds
Odem is 9-1 against Taft since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Odem Owls will head out on the road to face off against the Taft Greyhounds at 6:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Odem suffered a tough 76-51 defeat at the hands of Aransas Pass. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Odem in their matchups with Aransas Pass: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Taft's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 56-40 bruising from Mathis.
Odem has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season. As for Taft, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-15.
Odem beat Taft 63-55 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Odem since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
