Baseball Recap: Camden Catholic Takes a Loss

Camden Catholic had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 3-6 to make it eight. They lost 10-2 to the Cherokee Chiefs. If the Fighting Irish were looking for revenge after losing 10-1 to the Chiefs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Cherokee, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.3 runs this season.

For Cherokee's part, the team relied heavily on Brett Chiesa, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Jackson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Camden Catholic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against Seneca on the 22nd. As for Cherokee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Cherry Hill East on the 22nd.
