It was a proper cat-fight when Community Leadership Academy challenged St. John Paul II on Friday. The Lions put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

One reason for the win was Community Leadership Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 25-11.

Sarah Swee paced Community Leadership Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Swee got some help from Lily Ritter and her 23 assists. Claire Edwards controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Community Leadership Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for St. John Paul II, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Community Leadership Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Community Christian on the 8th. As for St. John Paul II, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Walton on the 9th.
