Recap: Cedar Valley Aviators vs. Springville Red Devils
The Cedar Valley Aviators pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-57 to Springville. Cedar Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cedar Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Larson, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was James Milligan, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Cedar Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Springville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Valley will face off against Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Timpview's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. Springville is on the road again on Friday and play against Wasatch at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Wasatch has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 173 points over their last three matches.
