The South Johnston Trojans will head out to take on the Smithfield-Selma Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Johnston will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

South Johnston's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 14-0 win over Clayton.

Meanwhile, Smithfield-Selma fell victim to Cleveland and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Rams, falling 30-0.

South Johnston's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Smithfield-Selma, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

South Johnston skirted past Smithfield-Selma 22-20 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
