Softball Recap: Lapwai Wildcats vs. Potlatch Loggers
Lapwai had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-9 to make it 11. They came up short against the Potlatch Loggers, falling 15-0. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Loggers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Potlatch, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
For Potlatch's part, Brieanna Winther looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Jaida Andres was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Hayley McNeal, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
