Basketball Recap: Burgard Comes Up Short

Burgard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Middle Early College Kats 81-47. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Bulldogs struggled afterwards.

Burgard lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Muhamed Muhamed, who posted ten points. Muhamed has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kentae Land, who scored eight points and five rebounds.

Burgard's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Middle Early College, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Burgard will challenge Hutchinson-Central Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Middle Early College has already played their next contest (against McKinley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
