Softball Recap: Roger Bacon Comes Up Short

The Roger Bacon Spartans came up short against the Anderson Raptors on Thursday, falling 12-6. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addi Schwartz and Gabby Ernst did some serious damage despite the final result: Schwartz scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Ernst scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those three hits gave Schwartz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tatum Zimmer, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Roger Bacon now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Anderson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Roger Bacon will square off against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anderson, they will head out to take on Lewis County at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
