Soccer Recap: Hemet Takes a Loss

Hemet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Arlington Lions, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 943rd, while the Lions are ranked 53rd).

Hemet's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Arlington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hemet will square off against Citrus Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will challenge Poly at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poly's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
