Basketball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dickson County Cougars. The Vikings were probably out for revenge after losing 54-39 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jenna Saine was the offensive standout of the game as she went 5 of 11 on her way to 11 points along with six boards and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024. Brynee Snow was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Dickson County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Northwest will take on Kenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dickson County, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Dickson County Cougars take on the Clarksville Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clarksville will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Dickson County surely won't give up without a fight.
