Buchta Made His Presence Known in Brighton's 45-27 Defeat
Starting off the list is Brighton's Spencer Buchta, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Buchta rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
This is the second loss in a row for Brighton and nudges their season record down to 3-6. Buchta and Brighton will face off against Fossil Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Fairview Wins Ninth-Straight Thanks to Jordan Rechel
Jordan Rechel was instrumental in extending Fairview's winning streak to nine on Friday. Nobody could stop Rechel as he rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 54 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.

Jack Mckeon Delivers Best Effort of Season
Fort Collins was led to victory by Jack Mckeon, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mckeon rushed for 198 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 109 or more in the last four games he's played.
Fort Collins pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Mckeon will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Prairie View on Friday.

Nick Kubat Goes Supernova in Fossil Ridge Loss
Nick Kubat posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 67 yards. He has been hot , having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played.
Kubat and Fossil Ridge will square off against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kubat will face off against Blake George, the Bulldogs' star QB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

The second Fort Collins player making an appearance here is Justin Cranford, and for good reason. He threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
