Baseball Recap: Panhandle Christian Home Educators Triumphs

Panhandle Christian Home Educators won the last time they faced Highland Park and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 7-4.

Riley Schenk and Isaiah Uecker were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Schenk struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Uecker tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those ten strikeouts gave Schenk a new career-high. At bat, Schenk scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Uecker scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Uecker has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

In other batting news, Coleman Phipps was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Panhandle Christian Home Educators' win bumped their record up to 10-3-1. As for Highland Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
