Percy Julian kept up with Benjamin Russell until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. The Wildcats blew past the Phoenix 45-13. Considering the Wildcats have won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Benjamin Russell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cederian Morgan out in front who picked up 137 receiving yards and two scores. That's the most receiving yards Morgan has posted since back in August. Jyque Norris was another key back, rushing for 93 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.

Despite the loss, Percy Julian still got an impressive performance from Samuel McCall, who picked up 69 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The Phoenix also got help from Orrion Harvest, who showed off his sure hands for 91 receiving yards.

Benjamin Russell pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.2 points on average over those games. As for Percy Julian, their record is now 3-7.

Coming up, Benjamin Russell will be playing at home against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Percy Julian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
